AiS Metrics
Africa in Science (AiS) publishes two unique country composite metrics called AiS Index (AiSi) and AiS Badge. The patterns and trends of AiS Badge and numerical value of AiSi reflect the impact of human development, education, and socioeconomic status on the scientific output of universities and institutes in a specific country in Africa. AiS metrics were originally developed by our founder Aymen I. Idris, Ph.D. and a team of students at the department of Computer Science, University of Sheffield (England, UK), and adopted and further developed by AiS.
